"uhh, no....he..he really doesn't text that much..." He kept his face down, feeling like an idiot for getting this worked up. He never got this nervous with people, never, not even when he first met Red. He could feel his face getting hot, his words getting mixed up in his mouth, turning into mush instead of solid sentences. He just kept his mouth close, looking down at his phone, trying to think of what to say.
He eventually gave up on thinking and attmepted words again. "so.....I'm off work for the rest of the night and....welll..." 'What the hell are you doing idiot! your still with Red....don't do it.' His thoughts screamed at him but...it had been ever so long and well....that thought was nice. "well....wanna join me for dinner tonight...." His thoughts beat him with a bat, but hope was still in there somewhere, or desperation for attention at the moment, he so hoped it wasn't desperation.

"That sounds fantastic," Reeve smiled gently, seeing the blush and trying not to laugh. It had been a long time since he'd spent more than a few minutes in the company of someone like this, and Paulie was, without a doubt, more attractive than the last person he'd ended up seated beside... and much sweeter-tempered. "I'd like the chance to spend more time with you." After all, his orders hadn't been to KILL the man... just to follow him, keep tabs. And what better way to do that than by having dinner with him?

All of the yelling in Paulie's head vanished as his concience lost the fight. Its like taking the bat, filling it with nails and beating his thoughts back. He was almost stunned that the answer was said before asking any more questions like: 'are you asking me onna date' or 'what about Red.' he felt bad, but Red didn't like to sit down somewhere and eat dinner. If anything, he preffered to eat at home, or on the go, it was just him.
"Great...yeah grea, w..where do ya wanna go, I mean I know this really great place about a block from here, but then theres this other place a little further, they're both really good, but it really all depends on what your in the mood for, of course there is that other place at.." He was in ramble mode now, trying not to sound earger but the truth was he could barley wait. Red had been away for almost a month now and that was a long time for someone like Paulie to have to wait for a date or somthing, besides, technically, this wasn't stated as a date, just dinner. He figured, lying to himself.

Reeve lifted a hand, laying a finger across Paulie's lips to stop him from speaking for a moment. "I think I'll leave that in your hands. I've not been in the city for long, and I trust you not to poison me while we're both off the clock," he laughed, teasing the other man a little bit. "I don't know the area well... maybe after dinner we could walk around a little bit, and you can tell me about the place?"

At first he didn't speak, the other's finger still gently placed upon his lips. He waited til he was done talking before he replied. "Well....I really don't know much about england at all really, I know it rains a lot, but I do know the best places to eat so, here..." He picks up a napkin and writes down an address. "Meet me here say.....sevenish." He smiled, sliding the paper to him, eyes full of glee.
*** He waited outside the restuarant, dressed very nicely to fit the atmosphere, seeming somewhat nervous and defiantly excited. He hoped that eh would be able to find it alright, it was just about 6:50.

Reeve approached the address he'd been given, a little nervous himself. He straightened the lapel of his suit jacket and smoothed the front of his blue dress shirt. He didn't have very many nice clothes... these were actually remnants of a cosplay he'd done one year with a pair of pals. Seeing Paulie made him smile, and he bowed a little as he got closer. "Konban wa, Paulie," he offered. "I'm really glad to see you again." Definitely the truth. He had a soft spot for the cute little Frenchman.

Paulie smile grew bigger seeing the other. He still told himself it wasn't a date, even though it was practically obvious. "Same to you handsome and you know you can't use that Japanese on me.." He giggled, tapping him on the nose. He slipped his arm around Reeve's, holding onto him with excitement. "You look rather dashing." he cooed, unable to stop smiling.
"So, smoking or non?" he asked when they got up to the counter. Personally, he knew which side Reeve would choose fore they both smoked but it was just a polite gesture.

"Well, I don't speak French," Reeve grinned, poking Paulie's cheek gently with the tip of his index finger. "You look rather dapper yourself." When the smaller man took his arm, he held on to him, toying with the cuff of Paulie's shirt for a moment.
"Smoking might be a good idea... so as not to annoy the other patrons," he laughed. Paulie was adorable like this, and he seemed very happy to be out on this evening. Reeve kept telling himself it wasn't a date, knowing it for (mostly) a lie.

The hostess led them to their table and offered the menu and their choice of wine. Paulie ordered the chardonnay and pulled up his menu. "Order anything you like, it's my treat, kay love" She assured them that they would get their drinks and left them to decide on food.
"So..., " He started not sure what to ask really, but he needed small talk. Being the social person he is, he needs to talk but...he's not good at starting conversations. He laughed a little nervous, putting his hair behind his ear, and looking down at his menu blushing lightly.

"So," Reeve picked up gently, "what is your favorite song?" He figured starting with a simple question would bring Paulie back to feeling comfortable with him again. He studied the menu without seeing it at all, feeling the nervousness and radiating calm.

Well the two had set off on their 'mission' later that evening, mainly because Red was bored and refused to do any more paper work for the day than he had to. It had been one hell of a plane flight over and Red had rested up on the way there, which he had also advised for Dominique to do as well. He stretched after they had landed, letting out a last yawn from his previous lovely nap. The large Spanish man was feeling rather well at the moment.
He smiled being in such an uncommon good mood. "Well Domi-chan, would you like to grab a bite to eat before we turn in tonight....Tomorrow will be the beginning of our.. mission..." He had almost slipped up and said training but he had thought before he let his mouth run away from him, which it often did. He didn't usually like to go out to eat either but today had just seemed like it would be a good day and end with a good night for them.

Paulie blushed more, hiding behind his menu now. "Well..um, I don't really have a...favorite song...I don't know really......I guess I'm not really picky. What about you?" He asked, getting his confidence back now that the spotlight wasn't on him. " Well, what kinds of music do you listen to in general?" He looked over the menu some more, not really reading it at all.

Dominique stretched herself languorously and nodded to Red. "Sí, señor. Eso suena agradable." With a flick of her shoulders, she settled her duster over her back and body, following her superior and feeling a little ill at ease in this new country. Plus Red being in such a good mood... it was a little odd to her. "Shall we then, sir?

"I like a lot of music, but right now I listen to a lot of punk rock. Gets you pumped up when you prepare, you know?" Reeve smiled over his menu at Paulie, liking the blush that lit the other man's cheeks. The wine came to the table, and he nodded as it was uncorked and poured for the two of them. "Are you a wine lover, Paulie?"

Red nodded and lead the way, he knew of this nice little place that he had enjoyed a meal at once before. Arriving there he held the door for Dominique like a gentleman would for a lady, he was honestly old fashioned in most ways. "After you..." He said following her in, a waitress took them to a seat seeing as Red had probably called on their way there to make reservations for the two of them. Dinner, a 'mission', it was life of a spy. They were seated and he held hers for her of course before sliding her up and taking one for himself.
