Staring out the window of the coffee shop he sat in, Reeve watched the people walking by thoughtfully. Crumbs dropped from his lips as he nibbled a piece of blueberry scone, falling to hit the china plate that lay on the table. His back faced a wall, huddled into the corner as per training. Never leave one's back to a door or window, especially when a target is supposed to be near.
But... he'd seen no sign of any of the agents he was trying to find; Red, Black or Blue, they hadn't appeared. Maybe it was a rookie mistake to think he would be able to find them in a city this size without having prior knowledge of where they'd be. Seemed to be the story of his life. He brought his teacup to his lips, breathing deeply of the aroma of the aged Earl Grey within before sipping it. Tea was one of his passions, his hobby, and he looked forward to being able to return to America where his collection waited for him in his kitchen. "I'll give it another 3 days, then I'm goin' home," he muttered, looking hopefully out into the street, as though one of his targets would just walk by.

The blue agent walked into the cafe as the rain began to fall. He looked out the window and let out a relieved sigh fixing his hair in the reflextion as well. "well...that was close." He muttered and carried on his marry little way to the front counter. There, he and the woman at the counter exchanged a beise and a few words of exclaimed happiness. "Sooo....how'd it gooo?" He asked teasing her in the ut-most gayest fashon he could manage. She giggled out a few words, trying to convince him she wouldn't tell and then went on babbling about a date or so.
He, in full uniform, just let his guard down as he leaned on the counter, listening to her babbling. He never fully forgot his surroundings, but he tended to zone off from work every now and then. Even spies need a break or two.

Reeve heard the voice, turning toward the counter and gaping. His treat fell from his fingers, bouncing off the tiled floor beneath the table. This was the Blue agent he'd been looking for. The past week hadn't been as fruitless as he'd figured.
Standing, he lifted his plate and cup, taking them toward the counter and deliberately bumping into the man standing there. "Oh, I'm so sorry," he murmured, his gaze raking the other's face quickly. The girl who had been nattering about her date deftly took the dishes from him, keeping up a stream of conversation to the agent... what was his name? Reeve couldn't remember for the life of him. But he was rather... cute. The Gray agent stepped back slightly, watching the other man's body language, and was rather surprised at how comfortable he seemed. No guarded expression, no readiness to go for his weapon. It was confusing, a little bit. He slipped a cigarette between his lips, sucking on the filter as he listened with half an ear to the barista.

Paulie made a mental note that he was there, but saw him as no real threat. He watched him out of the cornor of his eye, as he listened to her, exchanging little splees of glee every now and then. After a few moments, she declared that if she dallied any longer her boss would have her neck. He laughed and they exchanged another quick beise before she disappeared from behind the counter into a back room.
Paulie turned around with a pip to his step and went over beside the Grey agent pulling out a long burgandy stick from his inner coat pocket and inserting a cigarette on the end. "Gotta light?" He asked leaning to him with a flirtatous smirk graced upon his lips.

Reeve dug into his coat pocket, pulling out a silver Zippo with the Cowboy Bebop logo embossed on the side. He flicked it open with a snick, bringing it to flame and lighting the Blue agent's cigarette. "That girl seems to really like ya. You give good advice? I could use a little." He brought the flame to his own smoke, drawing deeply from it and smirking faintly. "Never been much good with my own love life, you know?"

"Yeah, shes a good friend of mine." he replied, checking his phone read a quick text message. His thumb punched in a few letters sending a reply and went back to enjoying his cancer-inna-stick. "Well, how good my advice is all depends on what you think, but I don't think I can help you until I know what your situation is." He pulled out his sunglasses out and placed them over his eyes, taking in another deep breath of smoke and letting it out in a sigh of relief. "If your willing......I'm a good listener..." He cooed, leaniing his head on his shoulder, looking over the rim of his glasses. Then he snapped a curse under his breath as he pulled out his phone, cutting it off. "Damn thing never stops..." He grumbled, seeing as the other would have similar problems.

Reeve's phone buzzed in his pocket, and he lifted it slowly, casually looking at the display and stuffing it back in. He took a drag from his own cigarette, shrugging as he exhaled a wobbly smoke ring. "I just get kinda walked on... my ex treated me like nothin', and then walked out on me. And all I did was have to cancel a date 'cause of work, you know? Pfft." He laughed. "I just need to find someone who understands. Sometimes the job comes before play, am I right, pal?" He felt oddly at ease for the moment.

"hmm, you gotta stand up for yourself then." He said, blowing a puff through the ring the other had made. "You're right when you say that job comes before play, but no one ever said you can play on the job." He grinned, tapping the other on the nose. "I've been told I'm a control freak, so I can't say I've experienced that kind of thing...but me and mine..well, we have our.....arguments..." He admitted, shifting his weight. He wasn't one for talking to random spies from other nations, but he was bored and you never know the interesting people you meet in a silly cafe you came in to avoid frizzy hair.
He went to say something else but was interrupted by his phone. He pulled it out glaring at the little device that vibrated noisily in his hand. "Dammit, I though I turned you off." He gave a huff and made a motion as if he were going to chuck the phone across the cafe, but it remained in his hand, lighting up to display the words 'new voicemail.' He figured listening yo it would be a smart move, but right now he was more interested in his new friend...or so he would call him. "So...what are you into? guys, girls, both...what?" He listed, to keep the conversation going.

Reeve blinked as he was tapped on the nose... no one really dared to touch him much. Most people were kind of intimidated by his size. He chuckled softly as the other man checked out his phone, seeing the display light up. "Eh, well, a little of both t' be honest. My ex was a girl... friend of my brother's wife. 'S what I get."
He tapped his cigarette into an ashtray, playing with it. "Play on the job, eh? Am I to take it that 'yours' is as much work as play?" Grey-green eyes crinkled in a small smile, and he reached out to tap the Blue's cheek lightly.

"Well, mine is.......hard to get along with." He murmured, grinning a bit as he was tapped on the cheek. "I mean....if you don't know him....he'll probabley kill you for getting in his way, or taking up his time. He's not too social...but.." He leaned over whispering to him. "..he's a real sweetheart...just don't tell anyone, his ego means a lot to 'im." he shrugged grinning more just thinking about him. "Then sometimes....he gets me real pissed off...like....." He looked around for a moment, getting caught up in his thoughts. " ...like you just.... wanna use his head for a football!" he took another few drags from his cigarette, letting the smoke out of the side of his mouth..." ya know.." he shifted his weight again...turned to face the other now, holding out his free hand. "Paulie....by the way."

Taking the hand, Reeve grinned, shaking it firmly. "Reeve." His phone went off again, vibrating against his hip like a hive filled with angry bees. "He's pretty fiery, eh? You seem pretty laid-back yourself, Paulie. What's he got that keeps you from just whaling on him?" The phone stopped, then began to play the first few bars of "The More You Ruv Someone" from Avenue Q, letting the blond know he had a message. He chuckled quietly. "She changed the tune before she left," offering a lame excuse.

"No...I yell at him quite often.....and he yells back...very loudly." Paulie pulled his phone out of his pocket and turned the volume on and testing the ring tone holding it up showing him the name of the song. 'Je veux tu voir' by Yelle. He grinned, turning the phone back on vibrate and shoving it in his coat pocket. I don't let others handle my phone, not even him....he might kill it from the ring tone. He laughed to himself. "Well what about you reeve....whats your type?" He flipped his hair a bit to get the bangs out of his face, and leaned against the wall, putting the cigarette out in a nearby ash tray and then facing him again.

"I don't really have a type," Reeve shrugged. "'Least, not physically. I like people with brains, mostly. If they're not that bright, I'm not that interested." He toyed with his phone, setting it down on the table and spinning it, the purple outside glinting in the light from overhead. "Guess I'm a little picky like that." He watched Paulie, subconsciously reading his body language and taking cues from it.

"heh, not too many of them around huh." He grinning joking with him. He felt kind of bad for being this way, flirting with someone when he still had Red but....welll, it felt good to flirt really. It wasn't like he was cheating on him or anything, he was just having a friendly conversation and well....Red had done worse so yeah. These thoughts ran through his mind a few times, mostly when he was doing the listening for the moment. He didn't realize it until he no longer heard talking and noticed he had nothing to say.
He heard him, but not really...his thoughts were louder at the moment. "...I enjoy your company.." He replied quickley, to make the awkward silence unknown....hopefully. He didn't realize how random it sounded until the words came out of his mouth and he quickley looked down blushing lightly and pulled his phone out sending a text as a cover up.

Reeve chuckled softly, propping his chin on his hand to watch Paulie. "I enjoy your company too." For some reason the blond seemed a little tense now, like there was something on his mind. Never one for much tact, he simply locked his gaze on the other man's face, smiling slightly. "What are you thinkin' about, bud? Got a message from your other half?" He lifted his own phone, feeling the buzz of a new text message and popping it open to read. He typed in a curt reply, and shut the device, dropping it to the table with a chunk.
